Mariel Letourneau - Former Rockette

This week we welcomed Mariel Letourneau to our Dance The World Team! Mariel grew up locally in Bethlehem, attended the Academy of Music in Philadelphia, lived in New York for 5 in a half years, and lived in London for six years! Most notably, she had the privilege to perform at Carnegie Hall as a Rockette in NYC, sing with James Taylor at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia, and co-produce and choreograph the NYC premiere of Howard Goodall’s The Dreaming. Her favorite achievement is training and dancing with the Radio City Rockettes. Through rigorous training while learning their specific precision jazz choreography, Mariel says working with the Rockettes was the best experience in her dancing career. Mariel will be choreographing NOEL in Michigan this holiday season as the first ever Rockettes-inspired Christmas show! This will be a brand-new show with Mariel’s first original choreography credit.

With Mariel’s dancing, singing, performing, choreography, and dancing careers we are beyond excited to welcome her to our team. With her experience as a Rockette we believe she is the perfect fit as we offer dance the world Broadway (SUMMER & WINTER) & have a rockets experience workshop.

We hold our Dance The World Broadway event in the Winter (DTW Broadway Holiday Season Edition) from November 30 – December 3, 2023 & Summer (DTW Broadway) from July 25 – 28, 2024. During these events, students & families stay at the New York Marriott Marquis, perform in Times Square (complete costume provided), dance on a Broadway Stage, and learn from a Broadway Star in a dance performance workshop.

Our Summer event features a dance workshop with a dance captain from a Broadway show, and our December event features an optional dance workshop in Radio City Music Hall with current Rockettes®, followed by the Radio City Christmas Spectacular that evening. You don’t want to miss this!
